There's seems to be a different slant in this article for sure. If you can get past all the self-serving rhetoric.

NEW-- Parables of Discreet Virgins & The Talents Refers To ALL Christians!!
by minimus inaccording to the march 1, 2004 wt., the 2 parables "shed light on events in 1919 or thereabouts, they apply in principle to all true christians throughout the last days.
in this way, while the exhortation that jesus gave at the end of the parable of the ten virgins applies in the first place to anointed christians before 1919, in principle, it still appliesc to every christian.
".......i capitalized that quote to show that the watchtower is eroding the fds and the parables that have always applied to them by including the "great crowd".

Do You Think We Are Hurting The Organization By What We Do Here?
by minimus in....i sure hope so.
i wonder if we are making a real difference here.
i do hope we are chipping away at the very foundation of the organization.

I think that people that are impacted by what they read here are already on their way. There may be a little effect but I think it is really minimal. I suspect that a few are actually turned back by what they see here, not many, but a few.

"The Apostates Are Infiltrating The Congregations Now"
by minimus inat the circuit assembly, my mother mentioned to me that the society is warning of a new danger.
there are witnesses that are on the internet reading apostate things but are still members of the congregation.
they are slowly being infiltrated by the 'apostates' and are still amongst us.

Oh I kind of like you Minimus, you have something to say. I don't agree with you all the time, or probably not most of the time. I just don't have any use for avishai. I am not an apologist, I just call it the way I see it. There's a considerable number here that only foam negativity and I find that just as annoying as typical Witness delusions.

Elders searching for long disassociated ones
by Gretchen956 ini have heard of a couple cases in the last year where this happened, and i wonder if its happened to anyone else.. one of my acquaintances from another list moved from portland back to his homestate of maine.
he moved to a small town near the town where he was associated, but had not been associated for over 12 years.
the elders tracked him down after all that time and said they wanted to have a committee meeting so that they could disfellowship him.

My experience has been that these long distance things are almost always based on some relative requesting that the individual be called on. Usually there's a letter detailing the circumstances of the individual they want the Elders to approach. If the Elders are heavy handed in this situation it's because that's their nature, or the nature of the local body. There is no mechanism for tracking people down across the nation that I've ever heard of.

The CO won't come any where near you. They don't want any thing to do with that stuff, and the local Elders don't want the CO around because there's a risk you might say something that will put them in an unfavorable light.

What about COs? I bet those guys don't report all their income. Some of them take in some pretty decent money in a year.

You're not following me little witch. They're building new halls because they're forming new congreations and the current halls are full. It get's really hard to schedule when you get up to five unless it's a double hall, and there are several of those around here as well.

How can women be part of the annoited class, but NOT of the congregation ?
by run dont walk in.
okay, its common fact, that the so called "annoited class" is made up of men and women,.
so, if women are part of the 144,000, serving in heaven with christ, why is it, women have no place in the congregation, except as sub housewifes, cannot give talks, prayers, any kind of responsibility, etc, but yet a women could have served 30-40 years as a special pioneer, and her son lets say 18, can become a ministeral servant, with no pioneering (or very little) and she cant.. hhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmm, any thoughts

Actually there's a pretty large body of opinion at headquarters that thinks women can't be of the anointed. They don't talk about it much because it would be such a huge change but that's what they think.
